About the Role & Program

nAs an Product Design Intern, you will support the Accessories team with project development, assist with managing a small single category as needed, and help support the Online Product Approvals (OPA) system.
nYou will have the ability to work with various accessories categories including: bags, backpacks, footwear, headwear, hosiery, jewelry, timing, and vision teams to ensure the highest quality, consumer-focused, trend-right product lines across licensing.
nIf selected, you will report to the Senior Manager, Product Design. This internship is a full-time, in-person, six-month commitment in Glendale, California, from January 11th 2027 through June 4th 2027.
nWhat You Will Do:
nnDevelop and design product mock-ups, gather images and layout creative presentations, and trend point of view boards
nCollaborate with Sr. Managers and Design managers to design, approve, and review products and packaging while collaborating on feedback
nCreate templates for design point of view boards for creative rollouts
nPull cross-category product trends for Accessories
nAssist in pulling art direction and assets for collaborations
nMonitor competitors, product innovation, and market dynamics.
nResearch Initial seasonal trends by category
nManage and organize product samples
nMulti-task and prioritize multiple design projects within strict deadlines
nAssist with a large volume of packaging approvals
nPresent our team's deck at our creative rollouts
n nRequired Qualifications & Skills:
nnPrior coursework and/or experience in Softlines categories (e.g., raw materials, silver smithing, plastic, textiles, print, pattern, graphic composition, manufacturing)
nStrong presentation skills with the ability to communicate ideas clearly and effectively
nDemonstrated product design skills (e.g., 3D product design, technical design, sketching, creative application and manipulation of art, final mechanical art, fabric and trim identification, CAD sketches)
nProficiency in: Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Keynote, Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
nReceptive to constructive feedback and able to apply direction effectively
nAble to remain effective under pressure and adapt quickly to changing priorities
n nPreferred Qualifications and Skills:
nnPrior experience in jewelry design
nCoursework and/or experience in silversmithing
nSkilled in creating mood boards/trend boards
n nEducation:
nnSenior year preferred
nPursuing a degree in Graphic Design, Fashion Design, Product Design with an emphasis on products related to Bags, Backpacks, Footwear, Headwear, Hosiery, Jewelry, Timing, and Vision

n nEligibility Requirements & Program Information:
nCandidates for this opportunity MUST meet all the requirements below:
nnBe enrolled in an accredited college/university, pursuing a degree, taking at least one class at the time of application, OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship
nHave not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney Internship or Disney College Program
nBe at least 18 years of age
nPossess unrestricted work authorization
n nAdditional Information
nnThe dates of this internship are January 11th 2027 through June 4th 2027
nThis team generally works in the Glendale office M-TH and remotely on Fridays
nFully available from Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM Pacific Time Zone for the duration of the internship, 40 hours each week
nBe aligned with The Disney Look appearance guidelines
nAble to provide own housing for the duration of the internship program in the Glendale, California, area
nAble to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work
