nAs an Product Design Intern, you will support the Accessories team with project development, assist with managing a small single category as needed, and help support the Online Product Approvals (OPA) system.
nYou will have the ability to work with various accessories categories including: bags, backpacks, footwear, headwear, hosiery, jewelry, timing, and vision teams to ensure the highest quality, consumer-focused, trend-right product lines across licensing.
nIf selected, you will report to the Senior Manager, Product Design. This internship is a full-time, in -person, six-month commitment in Glendale, California, from January 11th 2027 through June 4th 2027.
nWhat You Will Do:
nnnDevelop and design product mock-ups, gather images and layout creative presentations, and trend point of view boards
n
nnCollaborate with Sr. Managers and Design managers to design, approve, and review products and packaging while collaborating on feedback
n
nnCreate templates for design point of view boards for creative rollouts
n
nnPull cross-category product trends for Accessories
n
nnAssist in pulling art direction and assets for collaborations
n
nnMonitor competitors, product innovation, and market dynamics.
n
nnResearch Initial seasonal trends by category
n
nnManage and organize product samples
n
nnMulti-task and prioritize multiple design projects within strict deadlines
n
nnAssist with a large volume of packaging approvals
n
nnPresent our team’s deck at our creative rollouts
n
n nRequired Qualifications & Skills:
nnnPrior coursework and/or experience in Softlines categories (e.g., raw materials, silver smithing, plastic, textiles, print, pattern, graphic composition, manufacturing)
n
nnStrong presentation skills with the ability to communicate ideas clearly and effectively
n
nnDemonstrated product design skills (e.g., 3D product design, technical design, sketching, creative application and manipulation of art, final mechanical art, fabric and trim identification, CAD sketches)
n
nnProficiency in: Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Keynote, Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
n
nnReceptive to constructive feedback and able to apply direction effectively
n
nnAble to remain effective under pressure and adapt quickly to changing priorities
n
n nPreferred Qualifications and Skills:
nnnPrior experience in jewelry design
n
nnCoursework and/or experience in silversmithing
n
nnSkilled in creating mood boards/trend boards
n
n nEducation:
nnnSenior year preferred
n
nnPursuing a degree in Graphic Design, Fashion Design, Product Design with an emphasis on products related to Bags, Backpacks, Footwear, Headwear, Hosiery, Jewelry, Timing, and Vision
n

n nEligibility Requirements & Program Information:
nCandidates for this opportunity MUST meet all the requirements below:
nnnBe enrolled in an accredited college/university, pursuing a degree, taking at least one class at the time of application, OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship
n
nnHave not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney Internship or Disney College Program
n
nnBe at least 18 years of age
n
nnPossess unrestricted work authorization
n
n nAdditional Information
nnnThe dates of this internship are January 11th 2027 through June 4th 2027

nnThis team generally works in the Glendale office M-TH and remotely on Fridays
n
nnFully available from Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM Pacific Time Zone for the duration of the internship, 40 hours each week
n
nnBe aligned with The Disney Look ( appearance guidelines
n
nnAble to provide own housing for the duration of the internship program in the Glendale, California, area
n
nnAble to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work
