nThe PD & Design Assistant supports the Product Development & Design team by contributing to the creation, development and execution of each season’s Own Brand assortments from initial concept through to production.
nWhat You'll Be Doing:
nnnAssist Product Development and Design team in research and design for silhouette, graphic and artwork trends.
n
nnAssist with print & graphic development for each season.
n
nnReview lab dips, artwork strike-offs and hand-looms for layout and execution.
n
nnAssist with the preparation of seasonal presentation boards for milestone meetings.
n
nnSketch designs in Illustrator (flats) and communicate construction details.
n
nnPrepare PLM packages and Assortment Line Sheets, update as needed.
n
nnMaintain organized sample racks and submit files.
n
nnParticipate in sample reviews and fit sessions.
n
nnAssist in any related communication to cross-functional partners.
n

n nWhat You Bring With You (Qualifications):
nnnBachelor’s Degree in Fashion or Art (or equivalent experience and education)
n
nn1-7 years of experience in Women's Fashion Design or Apparel Product Development.
n
nnKeen eye for color, trend, detail and construction.
n
nnExcellent written and verbal communication skills.
n
nnAble to multi-task and prioritize based on business objectives.
n
nnProficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
n
nnBasic knowledge of Design, Apparel Construction and Textiles.
n
nnAbility to understand and analyze Market/Trend information.
