We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Product Engineer to join our team in Ramsey, NJ. The successful candidate will play a critical role in the creation of 2D and 3D CAD drawings to meet our customers needs. This individual will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the creation of high-quality products and ensure our projects are first time right and on-time.
Responsibilites:
Working closing with the Director of Engineering, create 2D and 3D drawings.
Support the pre-sales phase of projects by creating basic product designs based on specifications of the job using CAD.
Using approved designs, source and price materials from suppliers.
Calculate estimates and what kind of approved materials are required for each job.
Perform process engineering to optimize production processes and improve product quality.
Develop and maintain technical documentation and product specifications.
Work closely with manufacturing teams to ensure smooth production and assembly processes and to ensure quality.
Reside as internal specialist and point of contact for ERP system.
Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of components and materials.
Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field is preferred.
Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and practices.
Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD is preferred)
Strong MS Office 365 products
Experience with root cause analysis and process engineering.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to multi task, prioritize and manage time efficiently.
