About the job

Is this the role you are looking for If so read on for more details, and make sure to apply today.

Swik AI is an early-stage AI company building intelligence infrastructure for commercial finance.

We're looking for a Product Management Intern to work closely with the founding team to understand customer problems, translate them into product requirements, and help build products that get used in production.

This is a broad, hands-on role for someone who enjoys understanding how things work, breaking down complex problems, and collaborating with engineers to turn ideas into working products.

What You'll Work On

Understand customer workflows, pain points, and product requirements

Break down complex problems into clear product specifications, workflows, and actionable engineering tasks

Work closely with engineers to define product logic, data flows, expected behavior, and edge cases

Help prioritize features, improvements, and bug fixes based on customer needs and product goals

Test and validate new features to ensure they solve the intended problem

Occasionally join customer conversations to gather feedback and translate insights into product improvements

Help shape product decisions as the platform evolves

Who We're Looking For

This could be a strong fit for a student or recent graduate from UNC, Duke, NC State, or another university in the Triangle who enjoys technology, analytical problem-solving, and building products.

We're looking for someone who is:

Analytical, structured, and comfortable breaking down ambiguous problems

Curious about how software systems, data, and business processes work

Able to translate a problem into clear requirements and communicate them effectively

Comfortable working with engineers and understanding technical concepts without necessarily writing code

Detail-oriented, with an ability to think through different scenarios and edge cases

High-agency, resourceful, and willing to learn quickly

Interested in startups, AI, product management, and building software that people actually use

Some prior experience or exposure to product management, finance, or financial technology through internships, coursework, or projects

Why Join Swik

You'll work directly with the founders and engineers on real customer problems and help shape features that go into a live product. You'll get exposure to the full product development process — understanding customer needs, defining requirements, collaborating on solutions, testing features, and learning from how customers use what we've built. You'll also experience how product decisions are made in an early-stage startup, where priorities evolve quickly and your work can directly influence what gets built.

This is an in-person opportunity in the Research Triangle area . xzgxqkn
