Role: Product Owner/Manager – UI/UX
Location : Whippany, NJ 07981
Type: Contract
We are seeking an experienced Product Owner – UI/UX with strong knowledge of SAFe Agile to drive the vision, prioritization, and delivery of user-centered digital products. The role will bridge business stakeholders, UX/UI designers, engineering teams, architects, and Agile delivery teams to ensure that products provide intuitive user experiences while meeting business and technical objectives.
The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with Product Ownership, UX/UI, customer journey mapping, user research, backlog management, Agile delivery, and SAFe ceremonies .
Key Responsibilities
Own and communicate the product vision, roadmap, and UI/UX priorities .
Translate business objectives and customer needs into clear features, capabilities, and user stories .
Partner with UX/UI designers to define intuitive and consistent user experiences.
Conduct and participate in user research, usability testing, journey mapping, personas, and customer interviews .
Define UI/UX requirements, acceptance criteria, and measurable outcomes.
Maintain and prioritize the Product Backlog based on business value, customer impact, dependencies, risk, and technical considerations.
Collaborate with Scrum Masters, UX designers, developers, architects, QA, business stakeholders, and other Product Owners.
Participate in SAFe Program Increment (PI) Planning and help establish PI objectives.
Work with the Product Manager to break down features and capabilities into actionable stories.
Participate in backlog refinement, iteration planning, daily syncs, reviews, demos, and retrospectives.
Ensure stories are ready for development and have clear acceptance criteria.
Review completed functionality and provide Product Owner acceptance .
Use analytics, customer feedback, usability findings, and product metrics to drive UI/UX improvements.
Identify dependencies and risks across Agile teams and coordinate their resolution.
Ensure UI/UX designs align with accessibility, usability, branding, security, and technical standards.
Collaborate with development teams to ensure the delivered product matches approved designs and business requirements.
Continuously prioritize enhancements based on customer feedback and product performance.
Support release planning and communicate product priorities to stakeholders.
