Production AssemblerLocation: Irvine, CAShift: 1st ShiftPay Rate: ***-***/hour based on related skills and experiences. Location: Irvine, NOT remoteSoldering experience required 1st shift (6:30 - 3:00pm)Job DesignationThe Production Assembler II performs a variety of routine mechanical and/or electromechanical assembly operations, under moderate guidance and in accordance with company policy and safety procedures.Job Core ResponsibilitiesPerforms a variety of routine mechanical and/or electromechanical assembly operations in accordance with company instructions and proceduresConducts inspections of own and/or other associates work to ensure correctness in accordance with company and/or customer drawingPosition very small parts such as ceramic board, crystals, gages, fine pins, fire wire, solder particles and epoxy under binocular microscope using tweezers or positioning fixturesAdjusts, bends, aligns and solders fine wires to resistors and base partsBonds or seals parts or assemblies with epoxies using direct heating elements or ovens and performs a variety of in-process testingApplies process specifications governing the production of product within an assigned cell, records production time and quantity dataMaintains work area under company guidelines and participates in events as requiredProvides simple welding tasks and/or brazing, or soldering and may operate light machinery such as sand blaster, or electro- etching processing and pressActively demonstrates all safety policies and proceduresOther responsibilities as assignedRegular, consistent and punctual attendance is required. May need to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and additional hours as necessaryJob SpecificationsEducation: A Secondary Certificate/High School Diploma or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectations is preferred.Certifications: Vocational training, apprenticeships or the equivalent experience in related fieldYears Experience: 2-5 years of relevant experienceSkills:Soldering and sandblasting experienced preferred but not requiredSkilled at routine mechanical and/or electromechanical assembly operationsAble to operate long hours under a microscopeAble to operate a variety of hand tools and machineryAbility to read and interpret company documents, such as safety rules, operating/manufacturing instructions, policies and proceduresGood manual dexterity required to work with small partsCapable of recognizing and solving typical problems that can occur in own work area; evaluates and selects solutions from established optionsEffective oral, written and interpersonal skillsAcceptable visual acuity requiredManufacturing / Non-Sedentary RequirementsIncumbent must be able to perform the essential functions of the job. Work may be performed in an office or warehouse environment. Typically requires the ability to spend 66%+ hours each work day doing the following activities: stand for extended periods of time, walk, bend, stoop, or climb.
