Job description
Production AssemblerThe Production Assembler assembles fabricated parts and components in a manufacturing environment, following established procedures and guidelines to meet quality, safety, and productivity standards. This role reads and interprets job orders, diagrams, and blueprints, performs mechanical and basic electrical assembly, and inspects finished products to ensure they conform to engineering specifications and customer requirements. The position works with peers on the production line and provides guidance when needed, contributing to efficient and reliable production output.ResponsibilitiesRead and interpret job orders, diagrams, and blueprints to determine materials, components, and assembly requirements.Select, position, and prepare material and accessory components according to specifications.Assemble sub-assemblies and install accessory components and materials on production units.Wire basic electrical connections in accordance with applicable diagrams and standards.Modify and assemble specialty and custom component parts as required for specific orders.Inspect products throughout and after assembly to ensure conformance to quality standards, engineering specifications, and customer requirements.Follow established procedures and guidelines to maintain high levels of quality, safety, and productivity.Work collaboratively with peers on the production line and provide guidance when necessary to support team performance.Load, unload, lift, and move materials and products, using lifting equipment when available.Use hand and power tools safely and effectively to complete assembly tasks.Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with facility safety and housekeeping standards.Support production demands by working overtime and Saturday shifts as needed, particularly during peak season.Essential SkillsAbility to read and interpret tape measures accurately.Ability to stand for 9 or more hours during a shift.Basic math skills to perform measurements and calculations required for assembly.Basic reading comprehension skills to understand job orders, diagrams, and instructions.Basic ability to read, speak, and understand the English language to follow written and verbal directions.Experience using hand tools and power tools in an assembly or production environment.Ability to perform mechanical assembly work on a production line.Capability to read and work from blueprints or diagrams.Comfort working in a manufacturing environment with regular overtime expectations.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in production or general labor roles within a manufacturing facility.Background in assembly line work, including repetitive tasks and meeting production targets.Familiarity with using tape measures and other basic measuring tools in a work setting.Understanding of basic electrical wiring for simple connections following diagrams.Ability to handle materials and products safely using lifting equipment when available.Attention to detail when inspecting products for quality and conformance to engineering standards.Strong work ethic and reliability, especially during peak production periods.Comfort working in a climate-controlled manufacturing environment with structured shifts.Why Work Here?You will work in a climate-controlled manufacturing facility designed to support comfort and consistent performance throughout the year. Work is performed on a production floor using hand and power tools, lifting equipment, and standard assembly line setups. During peak season, from April through September, typical shifts are 1st Shift from 5:00 AM to 3:30 PM and 2nd Shift from 4:00 PM to 2:30 AM. During off-peak season, 1st Shift runs from 5:00 AM to 1:30 PM and 2nd Shift from 4:00 PM to 12:30 AM. Overtime is a regular expectation, particularly in peak season, and Saturday work is frequently required to meet production demands. The position involves standing for extended periods and handling materials and components throughout the shift.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Goodyear, AZ.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00/hr.Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
