Job description

Production Assembly TechnicianWe are a dynamic team committed to making the impossible, possible. We warmly welcome individuals of similar mindset to join our ranks.What You'll Be DoingAs a Production Assembly Technician, you will be responsible for assembly, testing, and troubleshooting electromechanical products. In addition, your role will include the training and guidance of team members, aiding the development of work instructions, and constantly striving to bring our product offerings to the highest level of quality, reliability, and value.What Your Day to Day IsAssembling and testing electromechanical products while carefully following work instructionsTroubleshooting small electromechanical products such as cameras, sensors, and integrated logic modulesTroubleshooting processes and test equipmentProperly documenting issues that arise during the manufacturing process, such as failures, assembly problems or anomalies, or tooling malfunctionsRecording data and photos as required to create historical records of your workInterpreting engineering prints and schematicsInterpreting and developing production documents such as work instructions and checklistsCollaboratively working in a cell with 1-3 other Assembly TechniciansTraining production employees on safety, quality, and internal processesSupporting all safety and quality initiatives including 5S, ESD, FODSupporting process improvements and developing leadership skillsPerforming other related duties as requiredWhat You Should BeHighly skilled as an electromechanical technicianAble to work with small hand tools to properly assemble intricate electrical components utilizing small hardware and connectors.Able to excel within a cross-functional team environmentProactive and action-oriented; works the details as necessaryPossessing excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced engineering/manufacturing environment.Able to lift more than 40 lbs.How You'll Stand OutTwo-year technical degree or equivalent2 years' experience in a Lean Manufacturing environmentExperience with precision instrumentation and complex electromechanical systemsWhat You Get Out of ItTop of the line UPMC health coverage with FSA or HSA optionsComprehensive dental, vision, and life insuranceFidelity 401(k) plan with employer matchFree catered lunch every day with a vegan option31 Days of PTO (including holidays)Comp time for company travelCarnegie Robotics LLC is an Equal Opportunity Employer that welcomes applications from all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, national origin, age, disability, marital status, or status as a covered veteran in accordance with applicable laws and Carnegie Robotics' employment policies.
