Mars Snacking- Production Assistant- Elizabethtown, PAPay: Based off experience starting at $20.08/hour + and $2/hour shift premiumThis site manufactures Dove ChocolateShift Schedule:Current:Shift: 2nd (Afternoon)Schedule: Monday- Friday (some weekends possible)Hours: 2:30pm- 11pm (Flexible pending business needs)Future Shift Schedule (2027):Transition to a 2.2.3 schedule; 12 hour day or night fixed shifts? (more will be discussed during the interview process)Description of Role:The Production Assistant is responsible for operating machines, equipment, and processes within their designated area of the manufacturing plant, ensuring both successful performance and safety.What are we looking for?Minimum Requirements:High school diploma, GED or equivalent educationMechanically inclinedProficient in software including MS Office (Word, Excel) and email.Physical Requirements:Can perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.Frequent lifting/carrying (10-50 lbs) and pushing/pulling (50-300 lbs)Frequent bending, stooping, twisting, handling, and gripping.Ability to work at elevated heights, climb stairs, lean over equipment, and operate in confined spaces.Ability to stand and work on feet for extended periods, with shifts lasting 12 hoursCapable of working in hot, cold and wet conditionsProficient in understanding, communicating, reading, and writing in English.Preferred Qualifications:Technical degree or certifications1+ years of hand on experience in the manufacturing industryMechanical or technical trainingFork Lift driving experienceWhat will be your Key Responsibilities?Accountable for the performance of multiple machines, processes, and pieces of equipment.Perform routine operational tasks including starting up, shutting down, monitoring, cleaning, basic changeovers, repairs, routine checks, and inspections.Utilize basic ancillary equipment and computer programsEscalate issues appropriately and repair mechanical breakdownsHandle ad hoc requests as neededTotal RewardsStarting Pay: Based on experience starting at $20.08/hour +Shift Differential: $2/hourAnnual Bonus and Merit IncreasesBenefits Starting Day One:Medical, Vision, and DentalUp to 6% 401(k) matchVacation timeTuition reimbursementShort/Long-Term Disability18 weeks parental leaveWhat will be the Interview Process?Resume review > Recruiter Phone Screen > Situational Judgement Assessment (online) > Onsite Panel Interview> Offer DecisionAllergies: This is a peanut FREE facility
