Manufacturing Associate - Finishing/Bindery (We'll Train You!)
2nd shift 2:30PM - 11PM
At Sheridan your work doesn't disappear into a spreadsheet—it becomes books, catalogs, and printed materials people use every day. If you've worked with machines, enjoy hands-on work, and take pride in quality, we'll train you to run high-speed bindery equipment.
We're hiring anyone who is ready to learn, grow, and build a long-term career in print manufacturing.
What You'll Do:
* Feed books/signatures into machine.
* Pack books into cartons.
* Safely move materials/books to and from workstation.
* Perform hand operations as required.
* Work as part of a team to hit daily production goals.
* Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards.
* Follow safety procedures and help maintain a clean, organized workspace.
What We're Looking For:
* High School diploma, GED, or equivalent is required.
* Ability to understand and follow basic verbal and written instructions.
* Ability to read sufficiently to identify various printed forms and count accurately.
* Show up reliably and work well with a team
Physical & Work Environment:
Work is performed in a factory environment with regular exposure to dust, dirt, noise, and physical hazards of machinery, plus some exposure to fumes, oils, lubricants, and chemicals.
* Walking: Must be able to walk with ease, as some operations require constant walking.
* Standing: Must be able to stand (almost all jobs operations require long hours) on a concrete floor, or wooden platform.
* Lifting: Must be able to lift various materials weighing up to 50 pounds continuously.
* Twisting: Must be able to twist/rotate at the waist, up to 90 degrees, when loading or packing.
