Paid vacation, sick and holidays.About this position: Entry Level Job Type: Full Time, Onsite Schedule: Monday - FridayDay, 7:00am to 3:30pmSwing, 3:00pm to 11:30amWage: $18.50 - $21.50, depending on experience. Swing shift has a $1.25 shift differential. Wage reviews/adjustments every 6 months for entry level wages. Farwest Steel's Operations Department seeks a dependable individual to join their team as Production Assistant. In this role, you will process orders cut on the burning machines and assist in other areas of the warehouse as needed while following all safety policies and procedures Key Responsibilities:Identify parts associated with a specific order, process parts, and clean up per instructions on the work order using grinders and hand tools.Stack parts on pallets or in bundles and mark with pertinent information from the work order for delivery or storage.Remove small cut parts from the burning tables by hand when needed.Identify all questionable quality issues and present them for review by the supervisor to ensure that customer expectations are met on every order.Load and unload vehicles including inbound deliveries and customer will calls.Sort and prepare parts for the processing area.Occasional forklift and crane operation as needed.Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent optional.Prior Warehouse Experience is a plus; we will train youAttention to detail and awareness of surroundings.Effective verbal and written communication in English.Ability to make mathematical calculations and read a tape measure.Farwest is an Equal Opportunity Employer & Drug Free Workplace.
