Job description
Fabrication Shop AssistantAssist machines operators, handle product, visually sort and inspect, pack material. Unload and move material. Assist with all tasks within fabrication shop as needed.Areas of responsibilities may include but are not limited to:Cuts, joins, jackets, etc. materials to produce sub-assemblies or finished product from raw materialsTrack production on work orders and notify leadership of any mechanical or material issuesAttach appropriate labels and tags to products and packagesMove parts into position, manually or with forklift or pallet jackSet up face blocks, jigs and fixturesMark reference points onto floors or face blocks and transpose them to workpiecesUnload pallets and move material within fabrication shop as neededMaintain a clean and safe work areaEducation, Skills, Experience, and KnowledgeTeamwork and multi-tasking skillsMust be able to operate a forklift and/or pallet jackMust be able to operate measuring devicesAbility to write legibly and communicate clearly with professionalism and courtesyWork EnvironmentFabrication/warehouse environmentPhysical demands may include but are not limited to:High level of walking, standing, and/or climbingStooping, bending, kneeling, and reachingWork outside/inside around machinery with moving parts and vehiclesExposure to all seasons of weather, as well as slippery and uneven surfacesMust be able to lift a minimum of 60lbsTravelNoneExemption StatusNon-exempt
