Production AssociatesHub Pen Company, part of the HPG Brands, is an award-winning supplier in the promotional products industry supplying imprinted quality writing instruments to its distributors throughout the United States and Canada. This is a career opportunity to join our dynamic, fast growing, privately held company, and become part of our winning team.We are looking for Production Associates to join our team. You'll be cross trained across all aspects of Production to be able to set up, maintain, and operate machinery. Shifts available: 7am-3pm. 12pm-8pm, and 3pm-11pm.Types of equipment that production associates would be working on are:Digital full color printing machinesSilk screen printing machinesLaser engraving machinesAutomated packaging machinesA great Production Associate is reliable and able to work with attention to detail and safety standards. On-the-job training is a good way to discover how to do the job better, so you should have willingness to learn and improve. Being a team player is essential since all tasks will require close collaboration with co-workers.If you are familiar with these tasks and interested in working with a well-functioning production team, let's meet.Key Responsibilities: The key responsibilities or duties listed below are intended only as illustrations of the various type of work that may be performed. The omission of specific statements of duties does not exclude them from the position.Set up machines (preparing screens, cleaning, etc.) to start a production cycleFeed raw material or parts to semi-automated machinesCheck output to spot any machine-related mistakes or flaws and to ensure highest qualityReport on issues, malfunction, or defective partsRead and comprehend instructions and follow established proceduresMeet the deadlines of individual production tasks during shift, including ship datesKnowledge of basic safety rules and precautionary measures (safety gear will be provided)Responsibilities for making sure the correct imprint goes onto the correct sales orderKeep the worksite clean to avoid hazards from chemicals and fragile productsReview and follow manufacturing manuals to build machineryFix issues that might occur during the shiftFollow the company's safety and quality guidelinesMaintain equipment in good conditionResponsible for the correct method of ink to thinner ratio when setting up items to be printedResponsible for correct break down of machine and proper handling of the ink when the order is finishedEnsure the next incoming shift has adequate supplies to ensure a smooth transition shift to shiftCross training across all departments within productionOther duties as assignedRequirementsRecommended Minimum Qualifications:Education and Experience:High school diploma, higher degree from a technical school will be appreciatedAbility in using tools (e.g. clamps) and machines (e.g. presses)Good understanding of quality control principlesGood communication skillsReliable means of transportationKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Detail oriented with the ability to multitask, manage time, and maintain a high-level of accuracyStrong problem-solving skillsAble to work well under pressure to output high volume, high quality workSolution provider with a positive "can-do "attitudeAbility to work overtime hours as neededPhysical and Mental Requirements The physical and mental demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
