Job description
Production AssociateProduction Associate is responsible for safely handling lumber products. Verifies material meets customer requirements and company expectations.ScheduleEmployees are assigned to one of four rotating shift teams. A and B Shifts work 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM, while C and D Shifts work 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM. The schedule includes rotating weekends and holidays.Principle Duties and ResponsibilitiesMoves and secures lumber products and other materials according to instructionsStacks finished products according to predetermined bundle sizes and/or customer requirementsLabels material based on the following specifications: type, size, and countApplies individual tags to material before/after treating/productionUses a staple gun and troubleshoots equipmentBands, bundles and secures material, including attaching corner protectors and loading sticksFollows instructions for stacking material properly and according to company policy and customer requirementsEnsures correct quantities and material are strapped, and labeled before leaving the work areaMaintains accurate inventory of tags and reports any problems or discrepancies to supervisorRecords production on production sheetsMaintains a clean and organized work areaAssists with other work areas by moving material, loading and unloading material cartsParticipates in safety, CI and other programs and meetingsPerforms other duties as requiredQualificationsHigh school diploma/GED preferred but not requiredNo minimum experience is required, but manufacturing or lumber experience is preferredWorking knowledge of basic math preferredMust be at least 18 years of ageHourly Pay Range: $17.00 - $20.00 hourly - dependent on experience **pay range may be adjusted depending on cost of livingIncentive pay may be available for certain job roles and may include piece rate incentives, weekly production bonuses, and trip rate bonuses.A discretionary annual bonus based on Company and business unit performance may also be provided.Benefits currently offered to our employees:Medical insuranceHealth savings account with company contributionDental insuranceVision insuranceBasic and voluntary life insuranceDisability insurance401(k) plan with company matchPaid vacation and holidaysStock purchase program with employee discountEducational reimbursementWellness programs and challengesOther supplemental benefitsThe Company is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
