Production AssociateIn this role you’ll have the opportunity to work in a well-maintained manufacturing environment where each department specializes in assembling an aspect of the door from the start, by using our sheet molded compound; to the finish, such as hanging the doors in a frame and shipping high quality finished products to our customers.The bullet points below reflect roughly 80% of your job. We are a fast-paced company, you may be pulled in a variety of different directions with tasks added or changed.Follow safe work habits & demonstrate involvement in safety initiativesMaintain good housekeeping & organization of work areas per 6S approachPositioning work, setting up jobs, adjusting and operating machineryObserve machine processing for proper functioning and production of productsCross train in multiple production functions such as assemble, prep, pack, grain, etc.Notify Group Leader or Supervisor of improvement opportunitiesPerform assigned assembly work according to standard work proceduresAttention to detail, accuracy and quality for the processes and productsParticipate in effective communication within production teamDemonstrate job performance that supports Safety, Service, Quality & Productivity ObjectivesMust follow Company policies, procedures and regulationsOther duties as assignedHigh School Diploma or HSE or manufacturing experience required. Ability to successfully complete pre-employment background and drug screen.Physical demands of performing the duties of this job are outlined in the area specific Physical Demands Analysis. Extreme temperatures, wetness / humidity and being outdoors.Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.Ability to run respective inventory system (Great Plains, E21, MES etc.).Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
