Our employees take pride in our superior product performance and quality, which are known and valued around the world.Job SummaryThis position is an entry-level position within the manufacturing area, primarily responsible for performing weigh-up or packaging duties within the production department. Ensures the highest quality product at the lowest possible cost and meets customer specifications and delivery requirements in accordance with Spartech policies and procedures.Essential Job DutiesAccomplish the duties of the job utilizing safe work habits and maintaining a safe workplaceMust be able to read and understand shop ordersCommunicate with shift leadPerform cleaning task of equipment and plantStage items needed for productionRecord quality control information timely and accurately.Responsible to be productive and complete the assigned production order to completion accurately.Operate forklifts as required.Must be able to work a full schedule workweek and fulfill overtime requirements as neededReceive any additional direction from leads and supervisorsAdditional ResponsibilitiesMay be required to train other employeesActive participant in Kaizen and lean eventsMay be required to perform duties not specifically listed above, the listed duties are subject to be changed at any time, as deemed necessary to support the business.Key MetricsSafe and accurate productivity.Hit quality targets to ensure a quality part is handed to the next operation.Timely and accurate paperworkCompletion of duties in a timely and organized mannerMaintain equipment in the manufacturing areaBe a certified forklift driver as neededMaintain a safe work environment
