Job description

Together, We Save LivesPerform all associated tasks included in line assembly operations to mass-produce products. To work efficiently and safely, while maintaining target range on the following KPI's: discrepancies, accidents, repairs, reworks, material yield, desired ship dates and inventory cycle counts.ResponsibilitiesWork at different workstations as production needs requireAssemble and label products for stock as neededAssist Quality Control in productionVerify sales order to assembled parts and/or finished productAdhere product logos and serial numbers on products properlySteel cutting with band saw or other shop equipmentComposite layupFabric cutting to support ballistic composite and blanket productionObserve all safety regulations and procedures of the facilityAssist with keeping production area clean and organizedParticipate in kaizen activities to achieve productivity and quality improvementsTrain associates as requiredPerform support operations, including, but not limited to Crane Operator, Forklift Operator and Team Lead, Inventory, Receiving and/or Planning BackupNotify supervisor of non-conforming productNotify supervisor of unsafe equipment or work practicesOther duties as assignedQualificationsTwo to 3 years related experience and or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.High School Diploma or general education degree (GED).General knowledge in the use of hand tools and shop operationsAbility to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memosAbility to write simple correspondenceAbility to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organizationAbility to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimalsAbility to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphsAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructionsAbility to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situationsMust work well with others and be a team memberAbility to accept direction from a peer.Standing, sitting, lifting 40 pounds, use of equipment, manual and powered.Why work at Safariland?At Safariland our colleagues are some of the best and brightest in the industry and we are seeking new team members who exhibit the diverse competencies that will drive The Safariland Group to even greater success while maintaining our culture of being a great place to work.
