Production AssociateLocation(s): Haleyville, AL, US, 35565 Function: Manufacturing Audience: Hourly Work Arrangement: On SiteOverview: Production Associates are responsible for creating quality products for our customers. They are central to our operations and our success. Responsibilities include operating machinery required for particular position in a safe and efficient manner, inspecting product for defects and taking appropriate action as per work instructions, monitoring Quality Technician for consistency, carrying out measurements and weight checks, assembling product as per instructions with a focus on quality and safety, practicing Masonite Lean Manufacturing Techniques including 5S+1, communicating efficiently with other employees and the leadership team to ensure quality product is made timely, reading and interpreting list counts and completing all departmental paperwork correctly and timely, performing weekly EHS audits, participating in Safety Kaizens and Haleyville Masonite Plant Kaizens, helping create/implement poke yokes for quality issues, reading, understanding and following production schedules, setting up and adjusting equipment, gathering materials as needed, operating motorized equipment (ie forklift, KVAL lifts, etc) as needed, performing minor preventative maintenance and operator care as required, assisting Management, Maintenance and Quality personnel when troubleshooting equipment, process or material issues, communicating effectively for flow of product through the plant, maintaining downtime records and production information as appropriate, performing housekeeping duties, performing miscellaneous duties as assigned, wearing appropriate personal protective equipment, working safely and following safety rules and procedures.Nearest Major Market: Tuscaloosa
