Job description
Production Team LeaderOverall Objective: Oversee a group of employees and motivate them to do their job efficiently.Key Responsibilities:Assist Production Supervisor in directing the work of others in the production areaEnsure all members of the line understand the work instructions by conducting proper trainingWork efficiently and communicate appropriately with other members of the lineMaintain pace to ensure orders will be completed on time. Perform work assignments timely and accuratelyDemonstrate ability to operate all equipment safely and properlyDemonstrate good working understanding of quality processes (VCI rules, non-conforming product, etc). Identify and correct errors quicklyWeigh parts consistently if required. Seal and label containers appropriatelyEnsure all materials and parts are present on the line before starting a new work orderEnsure product is placed on skid in accordance with work ordersSupport supervisor by preparing required reports, assisting production employees, and providing support in other production areas as neededMeet productivity standardsComplete required paperwork accurately, timely, and legiblePerform any other related duties as required or assignedObserve safety and security procedures; reports unsafe conditions, uses equipment and materials properlyReport job-related injuries immediatelyControl and monitor all work order changeovers. Follow established procedures for re-stock.Conduct spot-checksSign off on all Best Practices, Large Audits, and Quality Audit FormsQualifications:Basic computer skills / verbal and written communication skills / basic math skillsMust be able to stand 8-10 hours a dayAbility to lift up to 50 lbs.Work overtime when requiredAble to meet all mandatory training for positionConsistently be at work and on timeDemonstrate attention to detailAbility to work in stressful situations
