Job description
Production Associate III (Packer/Operator)Position at New Pig Corporation Altoona / Hedgemat Overnight Shift, 7pm-7am - Monday evening -Thursday morning - Hours are subject to change. This position requires flexibility to work evening and overnight shifts.Duties and Responsibilities: Specific to Position:Able to run production line as back-up to OperatorOperate fork truck / scissor lift (being comfortable with heights required)Capable of using software packages such as SyteLine / shipping / receiving / ExcelOvertime weekly (3 operators split coming in early and late.)Perform department operation procedures that may include assembly, filling and packaging productsAdhere to and meet quality standards, as well as adjust the process to meet quality standards if necessaryPerform quality checks and collect quality data as neededEnter production quantities and material usage into computer-based systemPerform all other production-related duties as assigned or directedAdhere to New Pig's Safety, Environmental, and Quality standardsActively participate on the process improvement teamGeneral:Exemplify New Pig's core valuesSupport and follow company policies and proceduresHelp maintain a positive work environmentRespond promptly to all communicationsAll other duties as assignedMinimum Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalentAbility to perform math functionsAbility to lift up to 30 pounds continuously and up to 50 pounds occasionallyCapable of producing all products to standard rateCapable of retrieving and applying all quality informationAttention to detail, accuracy, and thoroughnessMust demonstrate a commitment to all tasks assignedWilling to share input to improve manufacturing processesFamiliarity with basic computer useAbility to work overtime when necessaryManufacturing experience preferredNew Pig is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
