Production AssociateD.W. Distribution, an SBP brand is currently hiring Production Associates for our Interior Doubles division within our Door Fabrication facility in Lancaster, TX. The Production Associate is a fast-paced position whose major responsibility is the assembly of pre-hung door units. The Production Associate will typically be assigned to one specific operation of the DDF but may be cross-trained and utilized in other areas depending on business needs. The three main operational areas of the DDF include warehouse operations, production operations and post-production packaging operations.Essential Functions:Performs pre-hung door production tasks as assigned by their supervisors.Maintains a work pace that matches the pace of the assembly line without excessive errors, and without causing delaysSafely utilizes machinery as directedPerforms accurate measurements to ensure the quality of the productFollows work tickets to ensure the accuracy of the orderUtilizes forklifts for the movement of materials within the DDF PlantReceives materials from vendors, ensures the order's accuracy and properly stores the materials within the warehouseReceives production orders, picks materials need by the production staff, and arranges them in ways that makes order productions efficientReceives special orders from the DeSoto Millwork Branch, and ensures its accuracyReceives the product from the production lineAppropriately marks the products for delivery to the customerUtilizes forklifts to allow for the safe transportation of the product from the production line to the staging areaStages the product in a manner that allows for efficient loading and deliverySafety:Complies with all OSHA safety requirements, work rules and regulationsUtilizes proper body mechanics when lifting objects up to 50 pounds, and gets assistance for lifts of greater than 50 poundsReports unsafe conditions and behaviors to their supervisorMaintains the cleanliness of their work areasGeneral/Administrative:Supports the company vision and mission, and demonstrates the corporate core values in all professional activities.Compiles and maintain all required paperwork, records, documents, etc.Follows systems and procedures outlined in company manuals.Maintains departmental housekeeping standards.All other duties as requested by management.Qualifications:High school diplomaMinimum of 1-2 years working in an industry involving wood products, cabinetry, construction, millwork or other similar industries.Solid, dependable history of safe, consistent workExperience and certification in forklift operations is highly desirableThe ability to do basic math and take measurements is highly desirable.DW Distribution brings this values-based perspective to each of our employees, our customers, our suppliers, and our communities.
