Job description
Production Associate PositionThe Production Associate will provide general support across the shop floor, assisting machine operators and other production staff with material handling, basic quality checks, packaging, shipping and receiving, and housekeeping. The Production Associate helps keep production running safely and efficiently by pitching in wherever needed across departments.Key Responsibilities:Help load/unload machines and support operators with general tasksMove, sort, and stage parts and materials between work areasPerform basic quality checks (visual inspection, simple measurements)Assist with bending, stamping, etching by handling parts and fixturesPackage, label, and prepare finished goods for shipmentHelp receive, unload, and stage incoming materials and suppliesPick, kit, and stage materials to meet production and shipping schedulesComplete basic production paperwork (travelers, checklists)Keep machines, tools, and work areas clean and organizedReport quality or equipment issues to supervisionFollow all safety procedures, including proper PPE useSupport cross-training and other shop floor tasks as assignedPerform other duties as neededPreferred Experience, Skills and Abilities for the Production Associate:Excellent personal relation skills and communication skillsAbility to handle multiple tasks concurrently, prioritizing them appropriatelyBasic math and measurement skillsForklift or other material handling equipment experience a plusAbility to handle multiple tasks concurrently and prioritize appropriately in a fast-paced production environmentStrong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanshipGood organizational skills and a reliable, safety-first mindsetPractice desired DSC values in the workplace daily; Integrity, Respect, Communication, Fun Team Spirit, Accountability, Embracing Change for Continual Improvement, Organization, Customer ServiceCompensation & Benefits for the Production Associate:This position is a full-time position.
