Production AssociateGrowing manufacturing company seeking Production Associates to assist the Line Operator and Top Production Associate in producing a top quality plastic film in a safe and efficient manner.The Production Associate must be able to read and understand instructions and make continuous improvements in their knowledge of the manufacturing processes and products. The Production Associate must be flexible and willing to work on any machine assigned by the Team or Manpower leader.Position Responsibilities:Learn how an extrusion press or flexographic printing press worksLearn and master our packaging proceduresLearn and understand all safety work practicesKnow the difference between acceptable and non-conforming productsMake a continuous effort to reduce the production of scrapLearn procedures for flush outs and change overMust keep the work area cleanMust be able to follow instructions from the Line Operator or Top Production AssociateMust be a Team PlayerEssential Functions:Must work 12-hour shiftsMust work for 3 months on days shift and rotate to night shift for 3 monthsMust be able to work weekends and holidaysMust be able to lift up to 50 pounds on a frequent daily basisMust wear personal protective equipment furnished by the CompanyClimb stairs and stand for extended timeOther Qualifications:High School diploma or equivalentKnowledge of computersAble to drive a forklift (will train if needed)
