Job description
Material HandlerThis role involves working as a material handler in a warehouse setting, where the main task is to handle and send out environmental equipment and materials to various counterparts. The position requires the disassembly of electronic devices, sorting batteries and electronics, and packaging parts for shipment.ResponsibilitiesDisassemble electronic devices such as TV and computer screens.Sort batteries and electronics into designated locations.Package parts to prepare them for shipment.Scan batteries and electronics for recycling purposes.Handle and recycle parts found in various electronic devices.Use RF scanners for inventory management.Essential SkillsMaterial handling experienceProficiency in picking and scanningInventory management skillsExperience with RF scannersAbility to perform general labor tasksSkill in sorting and heavy liftingAdditional Skills & QualificationsAt least 3 months of warehouse experienceAssembly or disassembly experience is preferredWarehouse scanning experience is preferredWhy Work Here?This position offers a steady work schedule of 40 hours per week, providing stability and reliable working hours.Work EnvironmentThe work environment is a warehouse setting that is not climate-controlled. It features swamp coolers and can become hot during the summer months.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Phoenix, AZ.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
