Job description
Production AssociateAs a Production Shelling Associate, you’ll help prepare pecans for use in delicious baked goods and confections. Your day will include working at a shaker machine that separates pecans, carefully inspecting the product as it moves along. You’ll identify and sort good quality pecans from shells and defective pieces. This position requires excellent focus, attention to detail, and the ability to stand or sit for long periods in a production environment.Responsibilities and Duties:Monitor shaker machines that separate pecans from shells and debrisInspect pecans continuously for quality, removing defective or damaged piecesSort and separate good product from waste according to quality standardsMaintain focus and attention to detail for extended periodsKeep work areas clean, organized, and safeFollow food safety and sanitation practicesCommunicate effectively with team members and supervisorsPerform additional tasks as assignedQualifications and Experience:Ability to stand or sit for extended periods while maintaining focus on repetitive tasksStrong attention to detail and ability to identify product defectsComfortable working in a production environment with repetitive motionAbility to lift up to 30 lbs. occasionallyWillingness to follow instructions and work as part of a teamPrevious production, food processing, or quality inspection experience preferred but not requiredSchedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm (EST)Mandatory Overtime, no exceptionsSchedule may change as the season ramps up.Assignment Type: Seasonal – position runs through April 1st, 2027.
