Production Associate - Sub Assembly TechnicianOperates machines and production equipment in accordance with quality and productivity requirements safely in a manufacturing environment with limited guidance.We are looking for a talented Production Associate - Sub Assembly Technician to join our manufacturing team in (Commerce City, CO (Henderson)).Will make an impact in the following ways:Assemble internal HHP engine components including pistons, liners, turbos, camshafts, cylinder heads, oil pans, and gear housingsPrepare and assemble components for installation on the engine assembly lineOperate manual and automated equipment to meet production and quality standardsPerform quality inspections and identify non-conforming materialsUse precision measuring devices and operate overhead cranes safelyMaintain a clean and organized work area and perform routine equipment careAdhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies and proceduresExternal Qualifications and CompetenciesIn order to be successful in this role you will need the following:Mechanical aptitude and experience working with engine components or manufacturing equipmentAbility to read and follow standard work instructions, quality procedures, and safety requirementsExperience using precision measuring tools and equipmentAbility to operate overhead cranes or willingness to learnAbility to lift up to 35 lbs and stand for extended periodsHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredPrevious engine assembly, manufacturing, workshop, or mechanical experience preferredAdditional Responsibilities Unique to this PositionSub-assembly production associate level II - Will perform the assemblies of the internal components of HHP engines. These assemblies include pistons and liners, turbos, front gear housings, flywheel housing, oil pans, 2-stage turbo charger frames, camshafts, and cylinder heads. In this role you will assemble and prep these components so they can be installed on the assembly line. Must be able to lift 35 lbs, stand long periods of time, operate an overhead crane, and use precision measuring devices.Mechanical Knowledge - Demonstrates knowledge of Cummins and industry standards by complying with all safe work procedures including Personal Protective Equipment to create a safe work environment; applies mechanical principles and theories using appropriate tools and procedures to diagnose and repair products safely and efficiently.Intermediate level knowledge of and/or experience with engine products. Requires some workshop experience and intermediate level of knowledge obtained through relevant training or on the job experience (Preferred).Education, Licenses, Certifications: High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations. This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations. Experience: Requires some work experience or intermediate level knowledge obtained through education, training or on-the-job experience.Compensation and Benefits Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
