Job description
Production AssociateAs a plater, you will plate, clean, and inspect a variety of parts in a modern production environment. Once you learn the process, the work becomes straightforward and consistent, though it can be repetitive. You will work closely with a team, follow established procedures, and maintain high quality standards while handling parts throughout the plating process.ResponsibilitiesInspect parts before, during, and after processing to ensure they meet quality standards.Prepare products for plating, including cleaning and arranging parts for processing.Place parts into plating baths and accurately time each process step according to specifications.Process all assigned parts independently while carefully tracking processing times.Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with facility guidelines.Document each piece plated, including process details and any relevant production information.Work collaboratively in a group setting to meet production goals and support team members as needed.Perform repetitive tasks with consistent attention to detail and accuracy.Handle and move parts and materials, including lifting items up to 45 pounds.Essential SkillsAbility to lift up to 45 pounds safely and repeatedly.Comfort working in a team-oriented environment.Comfort working in an environment that can become warm during production.Ability to perform repetitive work while maintaining focus and accuracy.Strong attention to detail when inspecting, processing, and documenting parts.Reliable work ethic and willingness to follow established processes and safety procedures.Can-do attitude and readiness to help where needed in the production area.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of West Springfield, MA.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
