Job description
Production Control PlannerWe are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Production Control Planner to oversee and manage the manufacturing build process for various components. This role is essential to maintaining the production flow, optimizing inventory, and ensuring that customer requirements are met within schedule. The Manufacturing Planner will provide real-time status updates on component progress, coordinate with multiple departments, and drive parts to completion through effective planning and material flow management.Performs the Make, Buy and/or Bill of Material (BOM) planning activities associated with Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) transactions. Performs one or more multiple manufacturing activities within various manufacturing functions. Maintains production systems integrity to drive inventory optimization to minimize cost. Expedites and optimizes material flow through the supply chain to meet customer requirements. Coordinates with manufacturing and Operations Management to provide shop floor control on make parts, analyzes and controls production schedule and capacity requirements, executes the plan, provides timely status and expedites or works around plans to preserve schedule. Coordinates with Supply Chain Stakeholders including Procurement and Operations Management to determine appropriate time phased plan for procured parts and executes processes to ensure deliverables meet production schedule requirements. Maintains MRP parameters including lead times and lot sizes and coordinates with Engineering and Change Board Rep to make the associated changes to the BOM.Basic Qualifications:Experience with inventory control and material handling knowledge.Knowledge of SAP & SFMMicrosoft Office, Microsoft ExcelAbility to obtain and maintain Secret Clearance per business requirementsDesired Skills:Advanced Excel (pivot tables, Power Query, Power Pivot)Ability or experience creating dashboards, and/or charts, to communicate part status, bottlenecks, and forecast accuracyPast experience with Production Control and/or Make and Buy Planning, manufacturing and/or Make Planning experience.Schedule management experience to track adherence (planned vs. actual) across multiple linesUse critical path analysis and deviation root cause tracking to drive on time deliveryFamiliarity with database queries (SQL) is a plus for extracting SAP/SFM dataManufacturing ExperiencePlanning or MRP experienceExcellent communication skillsPay Information Full-Time Salary Range: $ - $ At Lockheed Martin, we know mission success starts with taking care of our people.
