Be a part of the Dougherty Difference!We are seeking a proactive, detail-oriented Production Operations Coordinator to work side-by-side with the Plant Manager supporting daily manufacturing operations. This role focuses on production scheduling, coordination with supervisors, and ensuring manufactured products remain on schedule. As a newly created position, this role will evolve over time and play a key part in helping structure and improve production planning processes.The Production Operations Coordinator supports the Plant Manager in overseeing production schedules, tracking progress across multiple departments, and coordinating with supervisors to ensure production goals are met. This role requires manufacturing experience, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced production environment. Marine or boat manufacturing experience is highly preferred but not required.Essential Functions of this Role:Assist in creating, maintaining, and monitoring daily and weekly production schedulesWork closely with production supervisors to track workflow and ensure manufactured products remain on targetIdentify scheduling conflicts, delays, or resource constraints and escalate them to the Plant ManagerSupport schedule adjustments based on production demands, staffing, materials, and prioritiesOperational Support:Work side-by-side with the Plant Manager to support daily manufacturing operationsAssist with coordination between production, materials, quality, and other departmentsParticipate in production meetings and communicate schedule updates as neededSupport the Plant Manager with additional operational tasks as business needs requireProject & Process Support:Assist with project coordination and tracking within the production environmentHelp develop, document, and improve production scheduling and planning processesSupport continuous improvement initiatives related to efficiency, workflow, and production planningContribute ideas and structure to help evolve this newly created roleRequired Qualifications:Experience working in a manufacturing environmentStrong organizational, planning, and time-management skillsAbility to communicate effectively with managers, supervisors, and production teamsComfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on production settingAbility to adapt to changing priorities and evolving responsibilitiesPreferred Qualifications:Experience in marine or boat manufacturingProduction scheduling experience in a manufacturing settingProject management or project coordination experienceFamiliarity with ERP systems or production scheduling toolsPhysical Requirements:Ability to spend extended time on the production floorOccasional standing, walking, bending, and liftingAbility to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs occasionallyThis position is eligible to participate in Dougherty Manufacturing's comprehensive benefits offerings, including medical, dental, vision, paid vacation, and 401k.Whatever tomorrow brings, we'll be at the leading edge.
