Job description
Production SupervisorUnder minimal supervision, ensures that machine operators have all the tools and information necessary to meet production requirements. Monitors work orders to ensure they make it through the production cycle in time to meet shipping requirements.Position AccountabilitiesOversees and monitors production to ensure quality standards are met, and performs verifications and inspections of products and machines.Assists in scheduling work orders for production and interfaces with engineers, the Quality department, and Planners, to ensure the timely production and shipment of products.May perform minor troubleshooting and maintenance of equipment.May operate production machinery when there are personnel shortages or changes in scheduling.Assists in the training and development of operators.Complies with all environmentally safe practices and regulations.Conducts EH&S self-inspection and safety huddles in areas of responsibility.Reads all MSDS' and possesses thorough knowledge of all oil and chemical labeling and storage requirements.Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.Ensures that scrap collection in their Focused Factory is being properly controlled and disposed.Position QualificationsMINIMUM EDUCATION High School or equivalentMINIMUM EXPERIENCE 5-8 yearsSKILLSBlueprint ReadingCompose Letters/MemorandumsInput data into computer programsUse Computer Software (MSWord, Excel, E-Mail, Schedule Plus, QAD.)CalculatorInspection Equipment (Micrometer, Comparator, Dial Caliper)Machine (header, thread roller, final assembly, chucker, four-slide)Communication skillsLeadership skills
