Toolmaker - Day Shift Direct HireToolmaker - Day Shift Direct Hire $28 to $40+ per hour Waterbury, CT. Transfer Press experience - preferred Deep Draw experience - preferred Eyelet Production experience - preferred Day Shift 5AM to 5PM Key ResponsibilitiesBuild, repair, and maintain complex tooling, transfer fingers, and gaugesInterpret blueprints, specifications, sketches, and verbal instructionsSet up tooling for production runs and perform changeoversConduct sample runs and submit first-piece inspections for quality approvalTroubleshoot production issues and make necessary tool adjustments or repairsAdjust machine speeds, feeds, and tooling to ensure optimal performanceUse hand tools and precision equipment to grind, fit, and finish toolingPerform tool hardening according to specificationsCreate spare parts and assist with machinery repairs as neededEnter SPC data and perform basic computer data entryWork collaboratively in a team or cell-based environmentQualifications, Work Environment & Additional ResponsibilitiesStrong experience in toolmaking, preferably with deep draw or transfer press toolingAbility to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawingsKnowledge of shop math and trigonometryExperience troubleshooting and repairing production toolingApprenticeship certification is a plus, but not requiredAbility to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and reach throughout the shiftAbility to lift up to 35 lbsComfortable working around moving machinery, vibration, and industrial conditions (heat, humidity, fumes, etc.)Perform tooling changeovers efficientlySupport and guide machine operators on proper equipment useMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work environmentFollow all safety rules and proceduresBenefits once hired inMedical, Dental Vision insuranceFSA programLife, short and long term insurance401KTuition reimbursementPaid vacation9 paid holidaysNesco Resource offers a comprehensive benefits package for our associates, which includes a MEC (Minimum Essential Coverage) plan that encompasses Medical, Vision, Dental, 401K, and EAP (Employee Assistance Program) services.
