Job description
Production LeadAs a Production Lead, you'll support the Production Supervisor and Chief in leading a team responsible for automotive salvage, recycling operations, and facility upkeep. You'll ensure safety, efficiency, and productivity standards are met while fostering a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement.What You'll Do as a Production Lead:Foster a "Safety First" and "Environmental Stewardship" cultureLead by example in alignment with company core values – Respect, Help, Learn & GrowSupervise, motivate, and develop production team membersMaintain facility cleanliness and ensure work areas meet safety standardsManage daily production schedules and performance goalsOversee automotive salvage and recycling processesOperate heavy equipment (loaders, forklifts, crushers, etc.) as neededAudit and record inventory levels to ensure accuracyConduct equipment inspections and coordinate maintenanceEnforce company policies, procedures, and standard operating practices (SOPs)Support hiring, training, and performance management for production staffCollaborate with management to optimize workflow and process efficiencyWork standard production hours (Monday–Friday), with occasional overtime, weekends, or holidaysWhat You Bring as a Production Lead:Leadership or supervisory experience in production or industrial operationsCommitment to safety, teamwork, and customer service excellenceMechanical aptitude and familiarity with automotive parts and systemsStrong organizational and administrative skillsAbility to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environmentExperience operating industrial or heavy equipmentBasic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and mobile toolsExcellent communication and team leadership skillsPhysical ability to stand, walk, bend, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in varying weather conditionsReliable transportationPreferred:Experience in the automotive salvage or recycling industryExperience maintaining heavy equipment (loaders, hydraulics, tow motors, etc.)Bilingual in English and SpanishAbout Pull-A-Part and U-Pull-&-Pay:Pull-A-Part, headquartered in Atlanta, GA, is an award-winning leader in the do-it-yourself used auto parts industry.
