We're committed to making a positive impact on the world, providing you with diverse learning and working opportunities, and fostering a culture where everyone's empowered to be their best.The Production Lead is responsible for supporting second shift production operations by coordinating workflow, assisting employees, promoting safety and quality, and serving as a primary point of contact for shift level issues. This is a hands on role that may require active participation in daily production activities while providing leadership and guidance to the team. Duties may vary based on business needs.Leadership & SupportProvide direction and support to second-shift production employees.Assign tasks and monitor workflow to help meet production goals.Promote a positive, safe, and productive work environment.Provide basic coaching, guidance, and on-the-job support.Address employee concerns and escalate issues to management as appropriate.Monitor attendance, punctuality, and adherence to company policies.Assist with onboarding and training new employees.Production OperationsOperate manufacturing equipment as needed.Fill in for absent employees and support bottleneck operations.Monitor production schedules and adjust priorities as directed.Troubleshoot basic equipment or process issues.Maintain production records and communicate shift updates.Safety & QualitySupport enforcement of safety rules and company procedures.Conduct regular safety observations and report unsafe conditions.Ensure products meet quality standards and specifications.Document production, quality, or safety concerns.Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.CommunicationServe as a point of contact for second-shift operational issues.Communicate production performance, staffing concerns, and equipment issues to management.Participate in meetings and provide shift updates as requested.Education and Experience:Prior manufacturing experience required.Previous leadership or lead experience preferred.Strong understanding of production processes and safety practices.Knowledge and Skills:Ability to operate production equipment.Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.Ability to lead by example in a hands-on environment.Ability to read and write clearly.Ability to read job specifications.Ability to organize work efficiently.Ability to communicate with all levels of employees.Must be able to perform basic arithmetic, statistics, and other specific mathematical applications.Basic knowledge of machines and tools, including the designs, uses, and basic maintenance.Basic knowledge of principles and processes for providing customers with specific requirements and specifications.Must be able to multi-task, follow priorities given, and have strong troubleshooting techniques.Self-starter; ability to work with minimal supervision.Strong housekeeping practices and organizational skills desired.Working Conditions:Manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery, noise, and varying temperatures.Ability to work in a manufacturing environment.Ability to follow safety guidelines and wear required PPE.Ability to work long hours while standing and operating machinery.Ability to move objects and materials of at least 50lbs.Following receipt of a conditional offer of employment, candidates will be required to complete additional job-related screening processes as permitted or required by applicable law.We are an equal opportunity employer, and all applicants will be considered for employment without attention to their membership in any protected class.
