Job description
Production LeadThe Production Lead is a working lead with the ability to perform complex setups and skillfully operate CNC and manual mills and lathes-while maintaining quality and safety standards; keeping records; and maintaining equipment and supplies. Must possess technical knowledge such as drawing and spec interpretation. Responsible for placing requisitions for material and tools and planning/coordinating all tooling activities and priorities.The ideal candidate will be an experienced machinist with at least 3-years experience working at journey levelBridgeport and manual lathe machining experience required.Expertise in CNC or ProfileWorking familiarity with shop planning/toolingExperience/knowledge applicable to fixturing/tooling applicationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Education and Experience:High school diploma or general education degree (GED).Certification from an accredited technical college a plusMinimum 3 years of progressive milling experience as journey level.Aerospace industry experience is preferred.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Required SkillsPossess basic math and geometry knowledge with elementary knowledge of engineering principals helpfulAbility to read blueprints, follow work order and verbal instructionsKnowledgeable of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)
