Job description
Production Line LeadThe Production Line Lead oversees daily operations of a production or packaging line, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency while leading a team on the floor. This is a hands-on role that requires working alongside employees, troubleshooting issues, and keeping production on track. This position is physically demanding and requires standing for long periods (up to 90% of the shift), lifting up to 50 lbs., and working in hot and cold environments. Candidates must be comfortable in a fast-paced environment with a flexible schedule, including overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.Key Responsibilities:Lead and support a production line teamMonitor production performance, quality, and safetySet up lines and ensure proper operation throughout the shiftTroubleshoot issues and partner with maintenance when neededTrack production metrics such as output, waste, and downtimeTrain and support employees, including cross-training team membersIdentify and help improve workflow and efficiencyEnsure compliance with safety, food safety, and company policiesQualifications & Experience:High school diploma or equivalentBilingual (English required; Spanish is a plus)Flexible schedule (including overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed)Previous experience as a Line Lead or similar role in manufacturingFood manufacturing experience is a plusStrong leadership and communication skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentComfortable coaching and directing team membersBasic computer skills (Microsoft Office)About Dessert Holdings:Dessert Holdings is a collection of premium dessert companies and brands: The Original Cakerie, Lawler's Desserts, Atlanta Cheesecake Company, Steven Charles, Dianne's Fine Desserts, Kenny's Great Pies, and Willamette Valley Pie Company.
