Production Machine OperatorLocation: Simi Valley CA 93063 Duration: 6 Months Contract Shift timings: Hours: 3:00 - Midnight Job Designation Under direct supervision, the Production Machine Operator I performs straightforward tasks and operates routine production equipment and machinery. Ensures the maintenance of a safe work environment with an ultimate goal of zero accidents. Job Core ResponsibilitiesPerforms straightforward set up, operation and routine maintenance of production machinery and test equipmentUses a range of documents to perform work, such as job travellers, blueprints, schematics, models or specificationsTroubleshoots machines that are not at peak performance and finds solutions to problemsEnsures adequate stock of raw materials needed for work and performs equipment maintenance per schedulesEvaluates and verifies that production items are within tolerances and meet specifications as outlined in job documentationOther responsibilities as assignedRegular, consistent, and punctual attendance is required. May need to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and additional hours as necessary.Job Specifications Education: A Secondary Certificate/High School Diploma or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectations is preferred. Certifications: Vocational training, apprenticeships or the equivalent experience in related field. Years Experience: 0-2 years of relevant experience Skills:Experience in operating production equipment and machineryBasic math proficiencyAbility to read engineering drawings and blueprintsExcellent attention to detailAble to use existing procedures to perform straightforward tasksEffective oral and written communication
