Job description
The QUIKRETE Co. one of the largest manufacturers of packaged concrete products in the US and an innovative leader in the commercial building, home improvement products, & DOT industries is seeking a motivated & proactive Production Manager for our Columbus, TX location. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in driving excellence in product production by championing safety, quality, and cost-effectiveness. Your leadership will extend from overseeing manufacturing operations, managing materials, and supervising shipping processes.
Responsible for the supervision of 40 employees across two shifts. Ensures products are manufactured to company standards and meet all quality control requirements. Schedules production in an efficient manner while ensuring that inventory levels are appropriate to meet customer requirements. Reviews accuracy of data for daily production reports. Ensures that plant machinery & equipment is in compliance with established company, OSHA/ EPA policies & requirements. Responsible for housekeeping in the production areas of the plant. Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
2+ years of supervisory/management experience required.
Bi-lingual communication skills are a plus.
Must have a mechanical aptitude and be capable of communicating with maintenance personnel.
Must be able to monitor and manage adequate inventory controls.
Must have good communication skills and work well with customers.
Longevity in a building products or an industrial manufacturing background is preferred.
Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook), JD Edwards experience preferred.
