Job description
Production OperatorOur client in Mentor, OH is seeking a skilled Production Operator for their 2nd Shift.The Production Operator is responsible for supporting manufacturing operations through a combination of assembly work and CNC machine operation. This position ensures products are manufactured according to quality standards, production schedules, and safety requirements while maintaining efficiency and accuracy throughout the production process.Pay: $16/hr + 5% Shift PremiumHours: Monday through Thursday 2:00pm-12:30amKey ResponsibilitiesAble to use equipmentHand toolsPower toolsTape gunsInspect products to verify conformance to quality standardsVisual inspectionProcess verificationMust be able to use hands and arms manually when:Moving materials and productsHandling and installing componentsAble to read and understand Bill of Materials (BOM) and Routers.Must know what components are, in relation to the Bill of Materials.Must be able to read assembly instructions to assemble product.Able to assemble product based on the Bill of Materials & other documentationMust be able to verify product with drawings (Where applicable)Must be able to verify product based on Work instructionsMust be able to lift 50 pounds or greater.Must be able to learn and operate CNC machines.QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent preferred.Previous manufacturing, assembly, or CNC machine operation experience preferred.Ability to read and follow work instructions, blueprints, and specifications.Basic math and measurement skills.Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Skills & CompetenciesCNC machine operationMechanical assemblyQuality inspection and measurementProblem-solving and troubleshootingTime management and productivity focusStrong attention to detailCommitment to safety and qualityPhysical RequirementsAbility to stand and walk for extended periods during the shift.Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of materials consistent with production requirements.Ability to use hand tools, measuring instruments, and production equipment.Ability to bend, reach, stoop, and perform repetitive tasks.Shift2nd ShiftOvertime as required to support production demands.
