Production EmployeeAM General is hiring Production Employees to support our HMWWV and JLTV A2 production. AM General Hourly employees are represented by the UAW and together the Company and the Union strive to create a working environment that supports and develops its workforce.Requirements & Skills:Must be able to work on a contract basis for the first 30 days. That time will be credited toward any benefits with a time worked requirementMust be able to read and follow standardized work and job instructionsMust have basic computer skillsPrevious manufacturing experience is preferredMust be able to lift at least 50 lbs.Ability to work in a fast-paced environmentMaintain regular attendance and punctualityCommunicate effectively with other employees in assigned zone and attend all zone meetings, problem solving sessions, training, etc.May be required to learn multiple jobsMust be able to use assigned hand tools, power tools, and torque toolsShift start time 5:00 amPrimary Duties Include:Assemble/drill parts in accordance with standardized work and job instructionsConfirm quality of work performedTechnical capacity to run equipment within the facilityMust be able to use assigned hand tools, power tools, and torque toolsMay operate material handling equipment including forkliftsWorks and communicates with other employeesPerform job duties in a safe and efficient manner and in compliance with safety rulesMaintain clean working environmentBenefitsMedical Insurance choice of PPO's or HDHSCosts range from $0-$69 weekly for single through family coverage based on plan chosenDental/ Vision Insurance401(k) plan with company match401(k) Automatic company contributionAM General Defined Benefit PlanVacationAverage 15 holidays per year-including the last week of the year.Basic Life InsuranceSafety Shoe programTuition reimbursement for eligible classesEAP ProgramChristmas BonusProfit Sharing BonusWagesJobs change daily.
