Production Operator - BlenderThe Production Operator - Blender is responsible for the pre-batch of paint blends and the staging of products for blended orders. This role will support the facility Blenders in spray-outs, drawdowns, and filling customer orders.Job duties include contact with other employees, operating heavy machinery, and access to proprietary information, raw materials, finished merchandise, and/or other items of value, and such access may be supervised or unsupervised. The Company therefore has determined that a review of criminal history is necessary to protect the business and its operations and reputation and is necessary to protect the safety of the Company's staff, employees, and vendors.ResponsibilitiesGather and prepare necessary materials and tools for blendingBlend custom paint orders and make blends of paint as directedMatch colors within facility color guidelinesOperate tinting, mixing, and industrial material handling equipment in an efficient and safe mannerKeep tools, equipment, and work environment clean and organized dailyCommunicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkersEnsure compliance with policies and procedures including safety, loss prevention, and securityFollow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules and regulationsQualificationsMinimum Requirements:Must be at least eighteen (18) years of ageMust be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the futureMust be able to read, write, comprehend and communicate in EnglishMust be able, with or without reasonable accommodation, to retrieve material from shelves and floor stacks and lift and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently and up to 100 lbs. on occasionPreferred Qualifications:Have at least one (1) year of work experience mixing or blending raw materials and making a product in an industrial batch processHave at least one (1) year of work experience using material handling equipment (for example: forklifts (stand and sit), pallet jacks, hand trucks, order pickers, vacu-hoists, drum dollies, conveyor belts, etc.)Have at least one (1) year of work experience monitoring gauges, dials, or other machinery indicators to ensure proper operation of machineryHave at least one (1) year of work experience monitoring the quality of raw materials and/or finished goodsHave at least one (1) year of work experience operating machinery in a manufacturing and/or distribution environmentHave at least one (1) year of experience working in a manufacturing and/or distribution facilityHave prior work experience operating tinting or color matching equipmentAbout UsAt Sherwin-Williams, our purpose is to inspire and improve the world by coloring and protecting what matters.
