Production Line OperatorIKO Industries Ltd. is a market leader in the manufacturing of roofing and building materials. People like you!Job Summary: Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the successful candidate will be responsible for running the production line. This includes operating machinery, ensuring that raw materials are fed properly through the manufacturing process, resolving line stoppages, clearing equipment jams, verifying finished products against quality specifications, and ensuring that products are properly prepared for shipment.Compensation: Starting rate is $28.22/hrBenefitsHealth Insurance (includes teledoc, virtual health, FSA, HCSA & other benefits)Dental InsuranceVision InsuranceLife InsuranceHealth Spending AccountEmployee Support and Mental WellnessShort term disability401k MatchPaid vacationFloating daysEmployee Assistance ProgramJob ResponsibilitiesAdhere to safety policies, programs, and proceduresComplete health & safety pre-start checklistsEnsure that products being produced meet established quality specificationsDocument quality checks at regular intervalsOperate manufacturing equipment in accordance with established operating proceduresOperate counterbalance, propane-powered forkliftDocument production numbers, items contributing to downtime (using computerized systems and hand-written production reports)General housekeeping dutiesAdditional duties as assigned by Supervisory staffQualificationsRequired: Able to work flexible, rotating production shifts 8/10/12 hoursMinimum 2 years' experience in heavy-industrial manufacturing or construction industry preferredMinimum 1 year of proven forklift operating experience preferredComfortable with working in a dusty environmentManual dexterity and attention to detailFluent in verbal and written EnglishAbility to follow direction and specific instructionsGood communication skillsAbility to safely perform heavy lifting up to 50 pounds on a routine basisComfortable with standing for extended periods of timeMust be able to work at heights and in confined spacesMust be able to walk and/or stand 90% of the shiftBenefits of Employment: IKO recognizes that its success is due to the strength of its employees.
