Production OperatorWe are searching for a candidate that can support the operation of basic to advanced PLC metal forming, punch, and stamping machines, maintain safe work behavior, and drive efforts in safety, housekeeping, 5S, quality, and productivity to meet the production output and quality goals. Apply today!Production Operator Responsibilities:Read, interpret, and run work orders operating basic PLC control panels, continually reviewing production status to efficiently meet daily and weekly output goalsRead and interpret blue prints and setup, operate, change-over, and tear down the lines – communicating obstacles proactively as needed to ensure production flows smoothly and efficientlyUse calipers, gauges, and other hand tools to regularly inspect parts, and perform visual inspections, to ensure they meet quality standardsApply labels to the product and enter daily production output into an ERP System, ensuring counts and information are accuratePerform light trouble-shooting and preventive maintenance on machines to ensure they are in proper working orderFill out scrap and reject reports as well as production reportsRequirements for Production Operator:High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experiencePrevious machine operating experienceForklift and overhead crane experience are a plus but not requiredStrong focus on safety and attention to detailAbility to read, write, and do basic math in EnglishAbility to read basic print facts and follow production ordersAbility to work in a team environmentAbility to carry out detailed written or oral instructionsAbility to work in a non-climate-controlled environmentAbility to lift 40-80 pounds occasionallyAbility to carry heavy corrugated cut-off sheetsAbility to stand, walk, bend, and twist throughout shiftIND060 QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
