Production Bagger Operator – ManufacturingThis position starts at $16.00/hour, but it does not have to remain a $16.00/hour position. Profile Products uses a Skills-Based Matrix that gives employees opportunities to increase their hourly rate as they successfully learn and qualify for additional production skills and responsibilities.The more skills you successfully learn and qualify for, the greater your opportunity to advance through the Skills-Based Matrix and increase your pay. Bagger Operators rotate between several production responsibilities throughout their shift rather than remaining at one workstation.Depending on production needs, employees may operate bagging equipment, inspect finished products, remove defective bags, prepare material for reprocessing, perform housekeeping and material cleanup, manually stack 50-lb. bags, and operate a forklift after completing company training and certification.What You'll DoProduction & EquipmentSafely operate bagging equipment used to produce 50-lb. hydro mulch balesMonitor equipment and production output throughout the shiftHelp maintain established production and throughput goalsIdentify and report equipment malfunctions, downtime, or inefficienciesAssist with production startup, shutdown, and shift-change activitiesQualityInspect finished products for packaging defects or inconsistenciesRemove out-of-specification bags from the production lineCut open defective bales and place material into designated reprocessing areasHelp ensure finished products meet established quality standardsMaterial HandlingHandle and move 50-lb. bags as requiredManually stack bags when production needs or equipment downtime require itMaintain organized material flow to reduce production delays and bottlenecksOperate a forklift after successfully completing company training and certificationHousekeepingHousekeeping is an important and regular part of this position.Sweep and shovel loose wood fiber and production materialClean production equipment and surrounding work areasMaintain an orderly work area throughout the shiftAssist with plant housekeeping as production needs requireSafety & TeamworkFollow all company safety procedures and policiesMaintain awareness of moving equipment and other manufacturing hazardsImmediately report unsafe conditions, incidents, and near missesRotate between production assignments as directedCommunicate equipment, production, quality, and downtime concerns to the Production SupervisorAssist teammates as needed to maintain safe and efficient productionPerform other job-related duties as assignedAttendance & Schedule ExpectationsReliable and punctual attendance is an essential requirement of this position. This position operates on a 12-hour, 2-2-3 schedule.
