Job description
Well Testing TechnicianBasic Function:Responsible for assigned well testing functions to ensure continuous production consistent with established standards.Duties & Responsibilities:Coordinate and participate in rigging up/down test equipmentAssist in frac, drill-out, flowback and production testing processesAbility to effectively collect and provide accurate data, including recording, sampling, and tracking of field reports and Job Safety Analysis (JSA)Ability to assemble/disassemble, inspect, repair and pressure test all equipmentOperate, monitor, and troubleshoot testing equipment such as, separators and manifolds, etc.Perform maintenance and repair work in the field and yardAbility to follow and implement all Flare standard operating procedures as requiredProvide technical support to the customer as necessaryDrive vehicles, forklifts and haul equipment as requiredPerforms various other job duties as assigned by supervisorRequirementsQualifications:1-2 years demonstrated knowledge of well testing operations preferredBasic knowledge of all tools and equipment utilized by oil and gas industryManage multiple tasks and set priorities to meet project deadlinesExcellent verbal and written communicationAbility to work independently and as part of a teamEducation:High School diploma/GEDCertificates, Licenses, Registrations:Valid state Driver's LicensePhysical Requirements:The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50-100 lbs.Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.The employee is frequently required to use hands and fingers to handle, reach or feel and manipulate objects or controls. The employee is frequently required to sit or stand for extended periods of time and walk distances, as well as bend, kneel, squat, twist, reach and walk on uneven ground.Work Environment:Field work environment, exposed to outdoor weather elements, high noise pollution, and the potential for dust, chemical and/or fumes or gas exposure. Shift work will consist of overtime, day/nights, weekends, travel/overnight for extended work periods.Flare Energy Services, LLC reserves the right to revise or change job duties and responsibilities as the need arises.
