Here, you will make an impact by:Planning and scheduling production orders and monitoring work center output to meet customer requirements and improve work center operational efficiency.Placing purchase orders to support production and communicate with suppliers on open orders and future requirements to support service, inventory and cost targets.Maintaining and optimizing production planning parameters that align with customer and business requirements for service and inventory.Working cross functionally to manage exceptions (materials, capacity) to determine how best to resolve constraints to balance service, inventory, and cost to meet business targets.Publishing and presenting service and inventory metrics and results.Supporting the planning for phase in/phase out through effective procurement, scheduling and communication.Actively managing working and non-working inventories to maintain compliance and achieve targets.Leading and participating in continuous improvement projects.May include inventory control responsibilities.Your Skills and ExpertiseTo set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:Bachelor's degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited universityAdditional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:Two (2) years of combined experience in supply chain, planning, logistics, and/or manufacturing in a private, public, government or military environment.Experience in material, production or supply planningExperience using SAPExperience using Microsoft Office including Microsoft ExcelStrong communication, interpersonal, and self-motivational skillsExperience working on cross-functional teamsAPICS certificationExperience utilizing continuous improvement methodologiesWork location:Clinton, TN on-siteTravel: May include up to 10%Relocation: May be authorizedMust be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).Supporting Your Well-being3M offers many programs to help you live your best life – both physically and financially.
