Position : Production Planner
Location: Glendale, KY
Length: 12 month contract to hire
Rate: $85,000-$110,000/yr

About the Opportunity
Insight Global is seeking SAP MP&L Launch Engineers to support a large-scale SAP S/4HANA implementation within a manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for professionals with backgrounds in materials planning, production control, inventory management, supply chain operations, logistics, or manufacturing systems.
You will play a key role in ensuring materials, inventory, and production processes are ready for a successful SAP deployment and manufacturing launch. The position offers the opportunity to work closely with operations, production teams, supply chain leaders, and SAP implementation teams during a major business transformation.
Responsibilities
Support material planning and MRP execution activities
Monitor material availability and resolve shortages
Validate inventory accuracy across manufacturing and warehouse operations
Review and maintain master data including materials, BOMs, routings, and planning parameters
Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and System Integration Testing (SIT)
Assist with production control and launch readiness initiatives
Coordinate with supply chain, manufacturing, engineering, and IT teams
Investigate planning and inventory discrepancies
Support implementation and transition activities related to SAP S/4HANA
Ensure manufacturing operations are prepared for go-live activities
Required Qualifications
2+ years of experience in manufacturing, supply chain, logistics, inventory management, production planning, or related environments
Experience working with SAP ERP, SAP S/4HANA, or similar MRP/ERP systems
Understanding of material planning, inventory control, and supply chain fundamentals
Experience supporting ERP implementations, testing activities, or business process improvements
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work cross-functionally within manufacturing operations
