Job description
Production Schedule ManagerPrimary Duties:Responsible for the development of the production schedule and manufacturing plan consistent with finished product demand, resource availability, and inventory level objectives.Schedules the production of material through the plant to meet customer requirements and maintain inventory levelsWork with Production Department to meet scheduling and production needs.Coordinates with Maintenance and Engineering for scheduled down-time, PMs, equipment upgrades, etc.Interfaces with Quality/NMI on product development programsPrepares and publishes daily production scheduleResponsible for comprising the weekend/overtime production scheduleMaintains open communication with customers, manufacturing and support personnel to assure manufacturing plans are clearly understood and fulfilledAnalyze changes in demand at the part level, weekly review inventory against planned consumption at the part levelReview and evaluate customer demand informationOrder raw glass and other raw materials in a timely manner to support the production scheduleResponsible for AGR and Service order managementBackup to daily, weekly and monthly reportingParticipate in Physical Inventories bi-annually; cycle counting as requestedOn call 24/7 to respond to customers and scheduling questionsAdherence to NSG/Pilkington Standards of Business Conduct and its Values and Principles.Qualifications Required:Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience3-5 years of materials/logistics experienceCustomer focusedDemonstrated interpersonal skills and leadership ability.Demonstrated ability to prioritize and organize objectives and targets to meet deadlines.Strong computer skillsQualifications Desired:3-5 years of materials/logistics experienceSix sigma certificationAPICS certificationExperience in an automotive manufacturing environmentEqual Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
