Job description

Job TitlePlans and prepares manufacturing production schedules and departmental workflows to establish sequence and lead time of each production operation to meet shipping dates according to sales forecasts or customer orders | Expedites operations that delay schedules and alters schedules to meet unforeseen conditions; includes estimating | Analyzes plant capacity and production requisition data to determine manufacturing processes and required resources; prepares production reportsImpact of the RoleRequires conceptual knowledge of theories, practices, and procedures within a job discipline | Performs routine assignments using existing procedures | Receives instruction, guidance and direction from more senior level roles | Entry level to a professional career progression | Consistent exercise of discretion & judgmentEssential FunctionsPerforms tasks and duties associated with product manufacture planning, including producing schedules, materials lists, and production plans.Helps to analyze production specifications to determine manufacturing processes, tools, and personnel requirements.Ensures material flow and production activity are aligned.Prepares work orders.Recommends schedule changes resulting from material or labor shortages, design changes, or backlogs when necessary.Required QualificationsRequired education and experience: Associate's Degree and 0-3 years' experience OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education &/or ExperienceCritical professional related technical skills; computer skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)Preferred QualificationsPreferred education and experience: Bachelor's DegreeKnowledge, skills & abilities: Analytical thinking skills. Planning skills. Oral and written communication skills. Leadership skills.Physical RequirementsMust be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time.Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds.Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.Work may require employee to work inside and outside with exposure to changing climate and/or operate machinery.This position is Safety-Sensitive.Travel RequirementsNo or very little travel likely.
