The Company operates 71 manufacturing and automation facilities across 20 countries and serves customers in over 160 countries.Location: RenoEmployment Status: Hourly Full-TimeFunction: ManufacturingPay Range: $49,920-$64,480Target Bonus: 5%Req ID: 30031Job ResponsibilitiesWe are seeking a reliable, motivated, and detail-oriented Production Planner to join our team. The qualified candidate will support the production team by evaluating the order backlog, planning production activities, printing and organizing production documents, and assisting the production supervisor with scheduling activities.Essential Functions:Maintain and distribute the master production schedule to support customer requirements and production objectivesReview order backlog and production demand to identify work orders required for the manufacture of finished goods, subassemblies, and componentsMonitor material availability and identify shortages that may impact production schedulesCoordinate with production, inventory, purchasing, and other departments to resolve material and scheduling issuesGenerate and distribute production work order packets, including work orders, drawings, and supporting documentationRun and analyze production reports and communicate information as requiredExpedite work orders and adjust production priorities as needed to meet delivery commitmentsMaintain planning data, including routings, bills of material, and other ERP/MRP system informationSupport the completion and closure of work orders and production operationsMonitor production performance against schedule and communicate potential delays or constraintsAttend production meetings and participate in cross-functional planning activitiesSupport continuous improvement initiatives and process development activitiesAnalyze capacity, material availability, and production constraintsSupport inventory accuracy and cycle-count initiativesAdhere to all health and safety requirementsPerform general duties as assigned and assist in other areas as workload requiresJob RequirementsRequired Skills:High school diploma/GED or equivalent experience2+ years of experience with ERP/MRP systemsAdvanced computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applicationsAbility to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization existsIntermediate math skills including the ability to calculate percentages, proportions, area, circumference, and volumeAbility to communicate with all levels of the organization, both verbally and in writingStrong attention to detail and accuracyPreferred Skills:Experience using SAPExperience in a manufacturing environmentAssociate's degree in business, supply chain, manufacturing, or a related fieldWork Environment:While performing the duties of this job, the employee will frequently transition between office and manufacturing environments. The employee will regularly interact with production personnel and may occasionally be exposed to moving mechanical equipment, noise, dust, and varying temperatures within the production facility. Appropriate personal protective equipment may be required when entering production areas.Physical Demands:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
